It is with the absolute heaviest of hearts and the utmost sorrow imaginable that Jeff and Chrystal share that they have lost their dear sweet Lawson. He became gravely ill on Saturday afternoon while being held tenderly in his mothers arms, and had to be rushed for emergency surgery on Saturday night. After bravely surviving the surgery, despite all efforts, they were unable to stabilize him. Their precious little boy died peacefully in their arms Sunday evening. Jeff and Chrystal cherished every moment with him for 43 days, and for that they are eternally grateful.
Dear grandson of Garry and Mary Van De Hoef of Wyoming, Kay Rathwell of Hensall, and Rob and Rose Rathwell of Exeter. Beloved nephew of Melody and Brian Jaques of Petrolia, and Katie and Dean Watson of Exeter. Special tiny cousin of Cassidy, Danielle, Megan, Alexa, Avery, and Bennett.
Jeff and Chrystal would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of their family, friends, and the medical team of the NICU at Children’s Hospital in London for all of the prayers, love, care, and support given to them along this difficult journey.
No footprint is too small that it cannot leave an imprint on this world.
A private family service will take place at a later date.
