Fitchett, Doris - The Fitchett Family are heartbroken to announce the sudden death of the Family Matriarch – Doris Ilene (Laird) on Sunday, January 22, 2017. Doris was a proud 89 year old Red Hat Lady who was always knitting for her family and a few special to her.
Dearly loved wife of Jack for over 70 years. Loving mother of John & Janet and Jan. Cherished Nan to Jeanette and Richard, Jay and Jennifer. Adored Great Grandmother to Madison, Zachary, Spencer, Ty and Billie Amber.
Predeceased by her parents John and Annie (McBryan) Laird and her brother Don Laird.
The Fitchett Family would like you to join them for a visitation on Wednesday, January 25, 7-9pm and Thursday January 26, 1-2pm followed by a funeral service at 2pm at the Gilpin Funeral Chapel in Forest with Rev. Dr. Christine O’Reilly officiating. A private family interment at the Arkona Cemetery will take place. As an expression of sympathy memorial donations may be made to the Arthritis Society or to Knox Presbyterian Church in Thedford.
Mum would have liked to extend a special thank you to Dr. Brian Larcoque and Dr. Geoff Bellingham for the extraordinary care, two individuals who she always felt treated her as family.
