Obituary for
Maria Facchina
FACCHINA Maria (Fabris), of San Martino al Tagliamento, Italy. “Into Your hands, I commend my spirit, O Lord”. On February 15, 2017, Nonna Maria quietly and quickly slipped away from this life, reunited with her dear husband Luigi (2006). She was born May 3, 1922, to Giacomo Fabris and Angela Maniago, Arzene, youngest sibling of Primo, Angela (Guerra), Alfonso and Sante, all predeceased. Luigi and Maria were married on November 8, 1947. Dear parents of Lucio (Alice) Facchina of Parkhill, and Luisa (Alberto Fregona) of San Martino. Loved immensely by Jeffrey (Michelle) Facchina, (Ethan, Ronan and Cayden), Parkhill; Maureen (Gianpaolo Rossi), (Matteo, Alex and Luca), San Martino; and Tania (Patrick Minten), (Leanne, born on Nonna’s 85th birthday, Zach and Blake, Rayah, Emma and Ryder), Watford; Katia (Michele de Biasio), Spilimbergo; Jessica (Mario Nadal) (Melody, Harmony) San Martino. We treasure forever the many memories we shared with them both---the visits and celebrations- births, weddings, 40th and 50th anniversaries and 80th and 90th birthdays. Along with farming Friuli style and raising Lucio and Luisa, Nonno and Nonna were long-term caregivers, first for his ailing parents Giovanni and Luigia (Petracco) and then for Bepi and Berta Sovran; they were available to lend a hand with farm work or with medical needs. Thanks to Nonna’s exceptional home-care givers for the last 10 plus years, Luisa and Alberto; this allowed Nonna to live here comfortably till the end. She enjoyed daily visits from her relatives and friends. Though her body was physically fatigued, just shy of 95, her spirit remained gentle, her heart sincere and her concern for all unrelenting. “Well done, good and faithful servant”. Funeral Mass and burial in San Martino al Tagliamento at 3 PM, Saturday, February 18, 2017. Memorial Mass at 7:00PM Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Sacred Heart Church, Parkhill.

nella chiesa parrocchiale di San Martino al Tagliamento,
ove la salma giungerà dalla Casa Funeraria Eredi Querin
in via Savorgnano n. 26/4 a San Vito al Tagliamento.

nella chiesa parrocchiale di San Martino al Tagliamento.
