Condolence From: Your loving daughter, Lorna
Condolence: There seems to be no words to describe the sorrow that consumes my heart. Losing you is so painfully difficult for so many of us.
You were more than a great Father, you were my mentor, my friend and I love you dearly.
I am extremely grateful that your passing was peaceful, but terrible sad that I didn't get to say goodbye. Slight comfort only comes to me , because I feel you in my heart.
The support from family, friends and neighbours has been overwhelming. A great circle of love and support envelopes us.
Everyone who knew you, knows the gravity of our loss.
I know you will watch over us, and keep us safe. May you be at peace, until I see you again.
PS: Mon is the strongest woman that I have ever met, although she lost her best friend, I have no doubt she will be okay. This outpouring of love and support that we are receiving should give you further peach that she will never be alone.

I love you and miss you terribly tearfully yours Lorna
XOXOXOXOXO
PS: Happy Farters Day !!!!! Ha Ha!!!!

Condolence: To Pat and her family. I am sad to hear Ernie had passed. I would like to send you my condolences and to let you know that you are in my prayers. I am sending you this message through Michael as he had called me to let me know and I had asked him to send you this message as my computer is broken. So again I would like to let you know that I am thinking of you in your time of sorrow.

Condolence: Our sincerest condolences to all of the Hykawy family at this very sad time. Ernie's memories will always be in our hearts for being a wonderful family man to his children and grandchildren and a dedicated husband to his wife Pat for many years.

We will remember Ernie for his sense of humor and easy going nature.

I was blessed to be your Godmother and will remember all our wonderful times together.

God bless you

Condolence From: Gord HORNETT
Condolence: Pat, Lorna, Raymond

I am so sorry for your loss, I am still in shock to think that Ernie has gone.
Ernie was one of a kind, the kind that the whole world should be made of, he always saw the good in everything.

Ernie told many funny stories and situations that would make you buckle over in laughter, that was Ernie!

Ernie, God has called you home for a reason, which is not my place to question, all I can do is pray for you, believing that some day we will meet and laugh again.

You will always be in my prayers until you ask me to stop.

So Ernie go and take your place with the angels and don't forget us as we will never forget you

God bless you and keep you forever in his arms.

With love your cousin, Gord

Condolence From: Gail Robinson
Condolence: Hello Ernie. I am not enjoying the fact that it has been quite awhile since we have seen you and now we can't for some time yet. As everyone knows the wonderful family man you were you still are, as this is your way of opening the eyes of the family again to remind them all of the importance of togetherness. It has been my pleasure to know you, then laugh with you and love you. Mike hurts deeply as does everyone, if there is a phone up there please call us so we know your ok. We all will miss you but never forget you. God bless you. Love Gail♥️

Condolence From: Mike Hykawy
Condolence: Pat,Lorna,Raymond and your families. You are all loved by Ernie, he was one of the best men in the world to me. I will always carry him around in my heart and in my thoughts. He is the type of guy you can never forget whether he was telling you a joke or teasing you, he always made you laugh. He always made talking with him interesting, most of the time you would be rolling on the floor laughing and trying not to pee your pants, especially when he told the Golden Mile story. I loved that man with all of my heart and soul, even though we did not see each other much recently. But he was my big brother, friend and bestman. Lorna and Raymond you were lucky to have a dad like that and Pat you two were each one half of a whole, with out each other you were not complete. Please just remember that you are all in my heart and in my prayers. One last thing I would like to mention is an Ernie quote "two days ago that was not there" lol. Love you all

Condolence From: Shirl and John
Condolence: Ernie, I cannot say goodbye to you, only see you later. I will carry you in my heart always.

I will even miss your tormenting.

The most important thing to Ernie, was not the cut of his clothes or how big a bank account he had, what kind of a car he drove. His greatest accomplishment was his family. First his wife, and if anyone could say they worshipped the ground she walked on, that was Ernie and exactly the way he felt about Pat. They were the very best of each other. I know that love will get Pat through this difficult time. There aren't enough words to express how much he loved his children and adored his grandchild, Chennal. Amazing strong family ties.

Ernie loved to make everyone laugh. It came so very naturally to him. If you were anywhere with Ernie and could hear laughter or some hysteria in the background, it was some stranger or group of strangers he would just strike conversation with.

Ernie, John and I will miss you. I know that when we hear that rumble in the sky, that will possibly be you and your shenanigans.

God carry you safely home.

We love you.

Your sister and John
